Aliner Rally 2024

When the opportunity for an Aliner Rally presented itself to us, we were beyond excited to attend. Aliner rallies are organized by members of the Aliner Owners Club. This organization is made up of Aliner members to establish friendships and build the Aliner community. We joined shortly after purchasing Edie, so we could not wait to meet fellow Aliner Owners.

The rally for the LOKAT region of The Aliner Owners Club was held at Johnson Creek Campground in Lake O’ The Pines Texas. Prior to arrival, the rally host emailed the attendees with information containing members attending, the meals that would be served, and points of interest around the area. Upon arrival at our campsite, we were greeted by the rally hosts and presented with name tags and a sign for our camper. After a brief introduction and an invitation to dinner, we set up our home for the weekend.

Johnson Creek Campground is a beautiful place to visit. Our site was located right off the lake with the most incredible views.

All campsites were spacious and the facilities were very clean. In only a few hours of arriving, we knew we would be back to camp again!

Aliner Rally Activities

Each morning, the members of the Aliner Owners Club met for coffee at the rally host’s campsite. Everyone brought their chairs and stayed for a few hours to visit. New members were eagerly welcomed and everyone came and went as they pleased. We enjoyed listening to their camping stories and learning about the best places to camp.

Every evening, the members gathered at the pavilion for dinner. The first evening of the rally, a hot dog dinner with all of the fixings was provided for all attendees. On the second evening, a BBQ dinner was provided and each campsite was asked to provide a side or dessert. Let me tell you-the Aliner Owners Club knows how to have a delicious meal! There was plenty of food for everyone, and we enjoyed making new friends at dinner. After dinner, we gathered around a camp fire to share stories of camping successes and epic failures. This group was truly welcoming and a genuine family-we felt like we knew them for years!

Exploring Jefferson, Texas and Johnson Creek Campground

When were weren’t meeting new friends and sharing stories, Tyler and I headed into town to explore the main street area of Jefferson, Texas. This little town is adorable and had the most fun shops to explore. From a peanut butter shop to a winery, there is something to capture everyone’s interests. The Jefferson General Store is an absolute must stop if you are a candy lover like us!

Back at the campground, we took Hank on a walk to explore the park.

On the opposite end of the park from our campsite is a swimming beach. Hank loved splashing in the water! Along that side of the park are beautiful spots for tent campers to enjoy the lake and a perfect breeze.

At the end of the weekend, we did not want to say goodbye to all of our wonderful new friends. The next LOKAT rally is scheduled for October. Join the Aliner Owners Club for more information!

Happy Camping!

Dawn & Tyler
